Aw, Shane, I'm so sorry. It's really a nightmare. My RLS / akathisia was worse when I lay on my back, and much better when I lay on my left side. Have you experimented with this?

    Have you tried magnesium?

"An initiation into shamanic healing means a devaluation of all values, an overturning of the profane world, a peeling away of inveterate handed-down notions of the world, liberation from everything preconceived. For that reason, shamanism is closely connected with suffering. One must suffer the disintegration of one's own system of thought in order to perceive a new world in the higher space."

So sorry to hear about it, Shane. I have it, too, though only from time to time. Are there moments when it lets up a bit?

I am so sorry you have this. It swings between mild and intense so that I cannot sleep. You might try and massage your legs with some handcream. I found that I needed to go to sleep very quickly after this, because the pain started up again and so that was not always possible.
