    overactive histamine reaction

    Something Sheila spoke about on a previous post. this has been going on for me for over a year now, one minute I am sneezing and my nose is running and I sound full of cold a while later and it has gone. can anyone else relate to this?

    Yes I had this all the time in early w/d, now I get it on and off, it starts with a sneeze and then like I have a full blown cold and then its over.

    I'm no stranger to this either, Squirrel. Those things can change even on an hour to hour basis.

    Paxil has a strong antihistamine effect, so we're rebounding from that....among other things.....
    Meds free since June 2005.

    Hi Squrriel, I had sinus problems come back way worse than they were prior to Paxil use. It took about two years and it has finally settled down to my "normal" sinus issues prior to Paxil w/d. I did have acupuncture target my sinuses and it helped quite a bit. Akaenew has had a strong histamine reaction with welts and itching that has reduced significantly.

    Ive heard it rfeered to as a post nasel drip? is that right, I have certainly seen many people talking about it!
    Put on citalopram July 2009 during a physical illness - didnt need it. 40mg
    went down to 20mg July 2010 CT in Jan 2012 - 2.5 years on.
    Tried to restart July 2012 due to 1 panic attack (never had one before - start of CT W/D) - adverse reaction
    Down to 1.5mg from the failed RI
    Now at 0.48 and trying to stabalize - been 6 weeks
    now have SEVERE anxiety, akathsia, feel like Im on acid 24/7 depression, D/P, signed off work. Scared of everything..please God let me heal from this

    Actually, overactive histamine can show up in many ways -- lots of sinus-related symptoms -- and also emotionality, weepiness, other stuff. Histamine has many functions in the body.
    Meds free since June 2005.
