hermi – I have never heard of or experienced (with three acupuncturists over the years) being disinhibited by acupuncture! So, if that is, indeed, that practitioner’s experience, then it’s something about her and her effect on the treatment!

Acupuncture is definitely worth your considering, but our experience with AD WD is that it has to be titrated to about 25% of what the practitioner would normally do and there must be zero stimulating treatment, even if that’s what they would usually do.

"An initiation into shamanic healing means a devaluation of all values, an overturning of the profane world, a peeling away of inveterate handed-down notions of the world, liberation from everything preconceived. For that reason, shamanism is closely connected with suffering. One must suffer the disintegration of one's own system of thought in order to perceive a new world in the higher space."

Yeah I wondered about that. She didn't say that it was specifically her experience she just said that there was evidence that acupuncture for anxiety during withdrawal done more often than every 4 weeks caused the opposite effect and sometimes other problems. Otherwise she said it's very effective. I just have no idea how I would react to it. I never took her up on the offer.
