my fasciculations continue. I have them daily, mainly in my calves. There is constant twitching in which you can see. It looks like little insects are crawling under my skin. There is even a forum for people with this so called syndrome and some say theirs started after an infection or antibiotic usage. I really hope it is not something I have to deal with forever. It appears the frequency of them has diminished over time, but very little. I get them everyday throughout the day. One thing about them is really weird: they also begin when I go to the park and ground myself. Once I am laying or sitting and touching the earth with bare skin, the twitching starts. This has perplexed me.

2009: quit effexor cold turkey. Switched to zoloft-100mg
2010: zoloft taper failed, switched to celexa-30mg
October 2011: tapered celexa in one week

Very interesting, Bruno. As Caroline says, I’ll bet the higher your toxic load, the more likely the antibiotics will cause this side effect But, yeah, the antibiotics are, themselves, very neurotoxic.

It seems like a good thing that the fasciculations get more pronounced when you’re doing your grounding – and bravo to you for doing that practice! This reminds me of how people in Kundalini awakenings are advised to lie down and let their bodies move intuitively and they sometimes find themselves taken over by kriyas. This is interpreted as the blocked energy seeking to move more freely, and the body takes the position needed to unblock.

Maybe you could try looking at the fasc. as an iatrogenic effect *and* as some kind of necessary energy movement in you that is related to increasing personal power.

"An initiation into shamanic healing means a devaluation of all values, an overturning of the profane world, a peeling away of inveterate handed-down notions of the world, liberation from everything preconceived. For that reason, shamanism is closely connected with suffering. One must suffer the disintegration of one's own system of thought in order to perceive a new world in the higher space."
